CONTEST SEEKS BEST BIKER-FRIENDLY PUB

The search is on for Britain's best biker-friendly beer garden.

A special wood-burning oven worth £1,000 is up for grabs for the pub that has the best garden - and doesn't mind the odd visit from motorcycle enthusiasts.

Over the coming weeks, bikers will be voting for their favourite pub with decent outdoor facilities.

The final winner will be chosen by Orchard Ovens, which supplies the prize.

The competition is being run in association with the second edition of the "BUG" guide to biker-friendly pubs. The guide lists pubs and other venues throughout Britain that welcome bikers.

Orchard said the oven, which is used by TV chef Jamie Oliver, can cook a pizza in two minutes. It can also cook a range of foods, including meat and jacket potatoes.
